AIBD SA, in collaboration with the Senegalese embassy in Paris, organized an economic forum on investment opportunities in Senegal in the air transport and tourism sectors on October 2, 2023 in the French capital.

This forum was attended by numerous economic actors and potential investors. The business meetings (B to B) facilitated fruitful exchanges that will allow for the establishment of dynamic and sustainable partnerships.

This business meeting, in which the ASPT, SAPCO and the Air Sénégal company also participated, was an opportunity for French and European investors to learn about the structural aviation projects underway, including Aéroville, the Aeronautical Maintenance Center, the Senegal Airport Reconstruction Program, the Center of Medical Excellence for Aeronautical Personnel, the International Academy of Civil Aviation Trades (AIMAC), as well as Senegal's tourism offers.

Abdoulaye Dieye, General Director of AIBD SA, hopes that this forum will allow the establishment of "fruitful partnerships" to realize the great ambitions of the State of Senegal in the air transport sector. He announced the creation of a commercial steering committee in charge of evaluating the different projects and expressions of interest. The national airline Air Sénégal, which has become a major player in air transport, allows Senegal to shine in West and Central Africa, Europe, the United States and soon in the Middle East.

With numerous assets, such as its strategic geographical position, a favorable, safe and secure business environment, as well as major reforms, Senegal, a future oil and gas producer, is a preferred business destination.
