Morocco’s educational landscape is expanding with the arrival of a key new player: the Nebrija Institute of Casablanca. This center, the result of a strategic alliance between Nebrija University in Madrid and the Moroccan group Segepec, stands as an innovative bridge between both shores of the Mediterranean, offering Moroccan youth privileged access to higher education in Spain.

A shared vision for quality education
On April 8, 2025, Nebrija University and its educational group officially inaugurated their first academic center in Morocco. The event took place at the new location, with the presence of numerous Moroccan and Spanish personalities from the political, educational, and economic sectors.
Among the honored guests was Lorenzo Capellán De Toro, Education Counselor at the Spanish Embassy in Morocco, who symbolically participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the official opening.
Juan Padilla Fernández-Vega, General Director of Nebrija Institutes and co-manager of Nebrija-Segepec, highlighted the strategic importance of this opening:
A modern institute in the heart of Casablanca

Located at 309 Ziraoui Boulevard, in the heart of the city, the Nebrija Institute aims to become a space for training, exchange, and intercultural meetings, fostering academic and professional openness toward Spain.
The modern infrastructure of the center reflects this ambition: spacious, bright classrooms equipped with the latest pedagogical technologies, including interactive whiteboards and digital materials, to provide a dynamic and immersive learning experience.
An educational offer tailored to the needs of Moroccan youth
The Nebrija Institute offers a wide range of programs:
• Spanish courses for all levels, from beginners to advanced
• Professional Spanish, designed for high-demand sectors such as tourism, communication, hospitality and catering, healthcare, business, and security forces.
• Preparation for the Selectivity (EVAU), the official exam that allows access to both public and private universities in Spain
But beyond linguistic education, the Institute aims to be a true springboard into the international arena.
A project driven by a shared ambition.
For Abdelaziz Lahlou Mimi, co-manager of Nebrija-Segepec, this partnership represents a clear ambition:
To offer a rigorous, modern education aligned with European standards to Moroccan students. Education is the best path to development.
This project does not come out of nowhere. Nebrija University, with more than 40 years of experience, is already present in over 10 countries and 4 continents: China, Indonesia, Greece, Italy, Brazil, the United States, among others.
The opening of the Institute in Casablanca marks the beginning of a lasting presence in Morocco, in collaboration with Segepec.
With the Nebrija Institute in Casablanca, Morocco is not only receiving a language school but a true educational crossroads, an opportunity for Moroccan youth to aspire to excellence, both within and beyond its borders.
An ambitious initiative that is fully part of a dynamic of cultural and academic rapprochement between Morocco and Spain.
