The Mawazine Festival has returned with strength to animate the cities of Rabat and Salé until June 29. A festive atmosphere of songs and music has taken over Rabat, the city of light, during the opening on Friday of the 19th edition of the Mawazine Festival - Rhythms of the World, under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
After a four-year hiatus due to the global pandemic, the Mawazine Rhythms of the World Festival is back with a bang for its new edition, promising an unforgettable musical celebration from June 21 to 29, 2024 in Rabat and Salé. Organized by the Maroc Cultures association, this event brings together a constellation of world-renowned and local artists, attracting millions of spectators and marking an important milestone in the international cultural calendar.
The programming of Mawazine 2024 offers a vibrant mix of musical genres ranging from oriental tarab to international pop and world music. Among the expected headline artists are Kylie Minogue, Central Cee, Didi B, Nicki Minaj, SCH, Gazo & Tiakola, Alawn, Camila Cabello, Calvin Harris, Latifa Raâfat, Carole Samaha, Angham, Najwa Karam, and many others.
Each night promises captivating performances on the festival's different stages: OLM Souissi, the National Theatre Mohammed V, the Bouregreg, Nahda, and Salé stages.
This special edition will be marked by unique moments such as the holographic concert of Oum Kalthoum, designed to captivate audiences with an exceptional audiovisual experience at the National Theatre Mohammed V. A first performance is scheduled for June 23 with a second on June 25 starting at 9:30 PM.
According to the organizers, this show has generated spectacular enthusiasm among the Moroccan public. Tickets for this musical event sold out at a record pace, 34 days before the show, confirming the fervent anticipation of music lovers and nostalgics of the golden age of Arabic song.
