Prime Minister Ali Mahamane Lamine Zeine chaired the official launch ceremony of the program for the modernization of the agriculture and livestock sector.

Financed with one billion dollars, this program aims to ensure food and nutritional security, resilience to climate risks, and increased productivity.

While highlighting the challenges Niger faces in ensuring food security, the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Colonel Mahaman Elhadj Ousmana, emphasized the importance of valuing local production, which includes the large-scale irrigation program as well as the enhancement of livestock farming
