The Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO) and the General Confederation of Moroccan Companies (CGEM) signed on Monday in Casablanca a protocol of cooperation agreement to promote economic and commercial cooperation between both countries.

The General Confederation of Moroccan Companies (CGEM) and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO) signed a memorandum of understanding on February 27, 2023 to promote their economic and commercial cooperation. For a period of 5 years renewable by tacit agreement, this agreement aims to contribute to the development and diversification of commercial exchanges and the promotion of investments between Austria and Morocco. Under this agreement, the 2 countries will ensure that their economic operators are informed of the business opportunities in their respective countries and will provide them with the necessary assistance to exploit them, taking into account the significant potential that the 2 countries have. Both parties will also promote direct relations between their businessmen. In this sense, they will encourage the development of commercial associations, the creation of joint ventures in all sectors of economic activity, as well as all forms of association likely to promote economic relations between Morocco and Austria. Furthermore, through this partnership, the two parties will exchange their experiences in business assistance, developing in particular cooperation on integration programs and support for young graduates and young entrepreneurs, including incubators and incubators. of companies. They will also work to establish a framework for mutual assistance in the training of managers and operators and will facilitate the development of partnerships between the training institutes of the 2 countries. It should be noted that the agreement has been signed by the Vice President of the CGEM, Ghita Lahlou, and the Vice President of the WKO, Wolfgang Hesoun.
