Guinea will receive financing of $307 million from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). Objective: to finance development projects
According to the Ministry of Planning and Cooperation of Guinea, the financing agreement was reached within the framework of the ECOWAS Investment Forum, held on April 4th and 5th in Lomé. This occurs in a context where all sanctions by the sub-regional institution against Guinea are lifted
This financing will be allocated to projects in the agriculture, health, education, mining, and transportation sectors
It also plans to finance the establishment of a mining laboratory in accordance with international standards, the construction of medical facilities and regional hospitals, the modernization of four agricultural schools and production units, as well as road works in the capital, Conakry, and its surrounding prefectures
