Ghanaian authorities have launched the electronic health management system.

Named "E-Health," it will allow for the creation of electronic patient records accessible in all hospitals across the country.

“In the future, medical records and patient histories will be consolidated into a single database, accessible by any networked hospital during a patient visit. This digitization effort has increased the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of service delivery in our health institutions,” said Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of Ghana.

This launch is part of the digital health policy and strategy document 2023-2027, which enables all Ghanaians to access timely, quality, and comprehensive healthcare through the use of information and communication technologies
