China and 26 African countries jointly released an action plan in Beijing on Monday aimed at accelerating their digital cooperation.
This initiative will strengthen partnerships in digital policy, infrastructure, digital transformation innovation, security, and the training of at least 1,000 professionals over the next three years.
In recent years, China has signed digital cooperation agreements with numerous African governments, which has improved connectivity between Africa and key regions in Europe, Asia, and the Americas through the deployment of several submarine cables by companies over more than 60,000 kilometers.
These companies have played a crucial role in the implementation of high-speed fiber optic networks, 4G/5G mobile communication systems, and satellite services.
