Cameroon has launched a program to promote electric mobility in Yaoundé with the support of the United Nations Environment Programme

This project aims to promote the use of electric vehicles in the country, thereby contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the transition towards more sustainable modes of transportation, as reported by the local press

Authorities hope that this project will promote the adoption of clean transport technologies and improve air quality in urban areas of Cameroon.

The Cameroonian government has also requested support from the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to mobilize the technical and financial resources needed for the effective implementation of this roadmap
