In a speech during the 9th conference of Spanish ambassadors accredited abroad, King Felipe VI of Spain highlighted the “special” nature of his country’s relations with Morocco, urging the further strengthening of these ties within a framework of friendship and good neighborliness.

"We will continue advancing our bilateral agenda with Morocco, a country with which we must continue collaborating in the spirit of friendship and cooperation that governs our special neighborly relations," stated King Felipe VI of Spain in a speech during the 9th conference of Spanish ambassadors accredited abroad (January 13 and 14).

The Spanish monarch also highlighted the importance of strategic alliances in Spain's foreign policy, in forums such as the 5+5 dialogue and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM).

He noted that these alliances play a key role in strengthening regional cooperation and provide coordinated solutions to common challenges.

Furthermore, the King emphasized the need to consolidate cooperation with the African continent, highlighting the new Spain-Africa 2025-2028 strategy, which he described as a clear roadmap in this area.
