Under this document signed by the president of the Souss-Massa Regional Council, Karim Achengli, and Gregory Darling, president of Atlas Marine, the company responsible for the project's implementation, this new maritime connection aims to optimize the transport of goods and address the logistical challenges associated with land routes.
Its aim is to facilitate the flow of trade between Morocco and West African countries by reducing transport costs and increasing the efficiency of goods and truck transportation.
This ambitious project will help strengthen trade exchanges and open new investment horizons between both parties.
"The establishment of the Agadir-Dakar commercial maritime route is part of the implementation of the Royal Vision, which places great importance on strengthening African cooperation," said Karim Achengli, adding that this direct link between Agadir and Dakar will open new opportunities for importers and exporters, promoting intra-African trade.
For his part, the president of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) Souss-Massa, Driss Boutti, stated that the creation of the Agadir-Dakar commercial maritime route is part of strengthening the cooperative relationships and fruitful partnership between Morocco and African countries, highlighting the intention to soon open new maritime routes between the capital of Souss and other African destinations.
