The Ministry of Communications and Digitalization has launched a training program in digital skills.

The program will require an overall budget of $1.2 million.

It will be implemented with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change and other partners such as the National Information Technology Agency (NITA) and the Kofi Annan Ghana-India Center of Excellence for ICT.

Called DigSMART, the training program is aimed at workers in the civil and public sectors. The goal is to accelerate digitalization so that public sector workers are more efficient in the delivery of their services, cultivate a digital culture and develop visionary leaders capable of navigating technology policy,” stated the Minister of Communication, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful. .

The program is expected to contribute to accelerating the country's digital economy objectives, which include: digitizing the way the Administration works and improving the provision of inclusive, secure and citizen-centered digital services.
